2024 AAPA-EROPA-AGPA-IAPA Joint Conference

The year 2024 marks a historic event for the discipline of public administration in the Asian Region. It will be the first time that the umbrella organizations of public administration in Asia will be jointly holding an international conference to address the most pressing and burning issues in public administration and the bureaucracy from a global perspective.

The Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA), the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA), the Asian Group of Public Administration (AGPA) and the Indonesian Association for Public Administration (IAPA),[1] together with the Ministry of Administrative Reform of Indonesia, National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), will be holding the first 2024 Joint Conference with the conference theme “Towards World Class Bureaucracy” to be held on November 5-7, 2024, at the Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

[1] The AAPA was founded in Tokyo in 2010; the EROPA was founded in Manila in 1960; the AGPA was established in 2010 and is an affiliate of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS); and IAPA was also established in 2010.
