Driving Indonesia’s Public Service Innovation Through Leadership Model

Abstract


The concern of this study is to analyze the leadership model which drives Indonesia’s public service innovation. So far, the experts have learned about innovation and leadership restricted to leader capacity, manner of leadership and leader determinant toward innovation. The aims of this study are to identifying the models of leadership that have been succeeded to produce the innovation. So that the innovation can be applied in public organisation  and replicable in another region. This study is using qualitative-case study approach. Data is collected by using depth-interview and documentation method, and NVIVO instrument to process it. The data then can be identified, classified and mapped. After that, it can be processed and analysed. The triangulation with secondary and another primary data is done to produce the reliable data. The result of the study shows that the leadership model tends to be differ in specific types and processes of innovation.
